ARES Software Corporation is seeking a temporary to full time Contracts/Procurement Specialist to join the team. The Contracts/Procurement Specialist will assist with reviewing, processing, and accepting contract documents, purchase orders, invoice reviews and assist with the preparation of proposals.  The CP Specialist will also assist with project controls which will include maintaining daily records and extensive project tracking utilizing MS Excel.

The CP Specialist must have 3 plus years’ experience in contracts management, procurement and accounting. Must have strong attention to detail, strong in MS Excel and ability to work independently.

COMMUNITY MANAGER

Seeking experienced, senior level manager for a portfolio of communities which include condominiums, townhomes, and single family homes. The right candidate will display integrity, loyalty, confidence/self-assurance, confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Job Details


The Sandia Contracting Representative/Subcontract Program Manager is responsible for high value complex acquisitions. These acquisitions are for services, facilities, equipment, and components typically valued over $100,000 and necessary for attainment of Laboratory objectives. This function is responsible for officially representing, and committing Sandia Corporation financially and otherwise in connection with such acquisitions. In support of this primary duty, employees work closely with members of Sandia's scientific and engineering community to identify opportunities and challenges that can or should be addressed through an acquisition. They create and lead cross functional teams to plan the acquisition in a manner that will result in optimized value to our external customer while appropriately allocating and managing risk. They oversee and/or perform market surveys, determine pricing arrangements which may include firm fixed price, cost based, and/or incentive provisions. They draft requests for quotations (RFQ's), and resulting contract documents with the goals of meeting the needs of our scientific and engineering customers, aligning the interests of both parties, appropriately managing and allocating risk, obtaining the best value, and ensuring compliance with flow down requirements of Sandia's prime contract and Corporate policy and procedures. 


They manage supplier interactions, communications and relationships. They review proposals for acceptability, analyze pricing and total cost of ownership, determine appropriate profit, fees, and incentives, and best value to Sandia and the Government. They lead and oversee the activities of proposal evaluation teams, negotiate contract terms including price, delivery, and performance with potential suppliers. They make and document the source selection decision.  They create and maintain the procurement file documentation which is subject to subsequent review, analysis, and audit. They delegate limited responsibilities relating to the contract to scientific and engineering personnel. They administer, oversee, and manage the contractors' performance. 


They oversee and interact with those to whom they have delegated responsibilities regarding the contractor's performance. They confer and address concerns or opportunities that have surfaced as a result of the contractors' performance. They assess the need for and negotiate revisions to the contracts when appropriate. They participate in configuration and change control board activities where they exist. They are the primary arbiter of disagreements between involved Sandia personnel (e.g. Sandia management, scientists/engineers, contract auditors, finance personnel, etc.) and the contractor. They oversee and help ensure compliance with corporate policy and processes regarding acquisitions of both restricted or controlled goods and services. They ensure appropriate final close out of the Contract.


Required


Applicants must submit a resume to be considered for this position. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a business-related field. A strong customer focus is required, including partnering with customers to meet identified needs; meeting or exceeding customer requirements and expectations; and teaming with co-workers and management throughout the organization. Excellent verbal and written communications, analytical skills, facilitation, decision analysis, and interpersonal skills. Candidates should be skilled in Microsoft Office Applications.Candidates must be able to balance multiple tasks and projects using time management and prioritization skills. Some travel may be required. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.


Desired


Candidates have a graduate degree in business administration (or an equivalent related field) and an understanding of a broad range of supply chain issues and techniques; or a bachelor's degree in business if the candidate has extensive procurement experience. A designation of Certified Purchasing Manager, Certified Professional in Contract Management, or equal certification is preferred. 


The following traits are desirable: a working knowledge of best commercial buying practices and/or government buying experience; the ability to develop a limited knowledge or understanding of technical programs, their issues, and how they relate to contracting and to the overall welfare of Sandia; project management experience, and experience with Oracle applications.


Security Clearance


Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications.
