The film industry is exploding in Albuquerque,
bringing in over $400 million in direct spending to the greater Albuquerque
area in the last six years. Many local businesses benefit financially
when a movie or TV show is in town – from hotels and restaurants, to dry
cleaners, lumber companies, sign companies….almost everyone can play a “part”
in making a film. Come hear about this fascinating industry, and how supply

About our speaker:

Ann Lerner heads up the City of
Albuquerque’s Film Office, which is located in the Department of Economic
Development, Mayor’s Office. The mission of the office is to promote and
attract the film industry to the City of Albuquerque. Ann says she has
the best job in the city. Ann brings a twenty year background in the film
industry to the office, as an owner/line producer for her own commercial film
production company, specializing in TV commercials. She has produced local,
regional and national television commercials, filming on location all over the
United States, and Toronto.
